Hello,
Three days ago, we started seeing the following errors in the web interface of our UPS:
Device Model: Smart-UPS 3000 RM
Network Management Card Model: AP9630
30.06.2025 17:16:56 UPS: The battery is not installed properly.
30.06.2025 17:16:36 UPS: The battery is now installed.
30.06.2025 17:14:53 UPS: The battery is not installed properly.
30.06.2025 17:14:32 UPS: The battery is now installed.
This UPS is configured for monitoring in Zabbix, but these events are not being received in Zabbix.
Could you please advise how to monitor such events in Zabbix?
Thank you.

Typically this error is caused by a failing RBC.
What is the installation date & production date of the RBC? The average service life is 2-5 years based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions.
If we assume it’s not a failing RBC than inspect all connections from the Anderson connector at the RBC & UPS.
Remove the cover to the RBC and verify all interconnecting cables are clean, firm, and secure. Confirm the internal fuse is sound and isn’t cracked or pre-blown.
You may have to cut the heat shrink if present to to inspect the fuse. Meter the fuse out to insure proper continuity and wiggle it to ensure the fuse holder and fuse are sound.
In some edge cases this same error is solved by a UPS firmware update. Given you haven’t provided the UPS SKU it’s hard to say if one is available.
You may review the following APC UPS FAQ to see if your UPS SKU & UPS ID are impacted by this fault:

NOTE: There were some bug fixes in the AP9630, 31, 35 firmware to address a similar issue. You may consider updating the NMC to the latest if not already on v7.2.0 firmware:
