I recently purchased a used SmartUPS 1400 and am having trouble starting up. I am assuming the batterys are probably dead but I want to make sure its that before I spend the money to replace them.
If I unplug the UPS and push the on button it chirps and a couple of the LEDs come on for a split second then it turns off. Once I plug it into the wall I hear a chirp. If I then try to power it on nothing happens. I have also tried holding down the on button once it is turned on and nothing happens.
I have tried a couple different outlets so I am pretty sure that is not the issue. I am wondering if there are other things I can do to make sure the UPS is operational and just has bad batterys.
