Back-UPS ES software installation

I just purchased an APC Back-UPS ES BE750G. I charged it, then set it up and ran the software with it. Although it was packaged in Feb 2010, the software for it does
not cover Windows 7 Ultimate. When I tried to install the downloaded software (Personal 2.2), it would not load because there was a previous version (personal 2.1) on the computer.
I have tried to uninstall 2.1 using the Windows uninstaller. It will not uninstall, but I no longer have full functionality for the program.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

How do I uninstall 2.1 so I can install 2.2??? Thanks.
