Smart-UPS 1000 shutting down PC during scheduled Self-Test
Hello UPS Experts,
I am using a Smart-UPS 1000 for a private single PC since March 2010, and for some months it performed flawlessly. However, since 6 weeks the PC is being forced into Hibernation Mode every 2 Weeks, and upon closer inspection I could see that those shutdowns coincide with the pre-set "14 Days Self Test" of the Smart-UPS 1000. No power loss occured at all, and the PC can be "woken up" again without data loss, so it seems like a controlled shutdown. Windows gives the infomation that "The Battery was low" on reboot, just like on a Laptop...
The PC is running Windows 7 64 bit, connection via USB, Smart-UPS 1000 firmware revision is 652.19.I, the UPS load is just 20% and the battery is always up at 100%.
For the moment I simply disabled the automatic Self Test (set to "Never"), but I would like to know if this an expected behaviour, or a bug in the Smart-UPS 1000 or in the Middleware / driver / Host application?
