My Smart UPS 1000 has not been use for several years.
Today, I plug in the battery connector, then plug the power cord to it.
The front panel LEDs are constant flash and constant beep.
The "Sensitivity" LED at the back also constant flash.
Even I unplug the power cord and push the reset button at the back cannot stop the beep sound.
This UPS has not actually use before, just perform a test when first buy.
According to the User Manual, this symptom indicate that there is a internal UPS fault.
Now, all I want is just to stop the annoying beep sound, how can I do that ?

The best way to go is replacing the whole UPS itself.

Hi DHLao,
See if this would at least make some change on your UPS. While the UPS is off and unplugged, press and hold the Off/O button it should immediately click and this is your signal to release the button. Say after a minute had passed and it still haven't clicked, let go of the button.
The procedure above is what do we call as brain dead, it removes any present power on the UPS. If the UPS won't change state it is better if you replace this UPS.
