Hello.
I have a SURT8000XLI with a problem.
It wasn't working for tree years, so I replace the batteries and turn on the UPS.
I don't have any error but I suspect that one of the battery pack is not charging because the capacity is about 30% after some 6 hours charging.
In the right pack I have 219VDC and in the left 197VDC. I already swap the packs.
Any advice? How many hours should it be charging? What should be the tension in the batteries packs?
PS: After some time the batteries capacity is going down...
Thanks
Jaime Silva

Since the SURT8000 and SURT10000 VA units have a topology that require (nominal) 192 volt battery packs with a center tap of 0 volts DC (+/- 192 volts DC), that feed two separate electronic "stages", it is likely that only a tech service rep can analyze your problem. Assuming the unit is out of warrantee, it is likely a very expensive "analysis"!
However, it is still possible that a bad battery pack is causing the imbalance. If you have a SURT3000, 5000 or 6000, you can charge the individual battery packs independently and then check their run time capacity with that SURT. If all your new packs have full run times, then it is not likely a battery problem. Hopefully, a Schneider tech service type can give you some advise If anything else can be tried.
