Hi, I have a question about sua1000i. The thing is that lately the power was not very good and during night, I turned the UPS off. However, I noticed that even when the UPS is off, at sometime I hear the clicking sound (like the AVR does) and a bit later, the sound like the AVR becomes released again.
Why is this happening? Shouldn't the unit take no notice at the input voltage when it is turned off?

Hey, don't worry for the delay!
The UPS is new, 3 month old. However, I don't usually turn it off so I can't really tell if this has happened from the beginning. You understand that this is no reproducible condition so I can't really check it upon request. I also have no second UPS to test.
When I called technical support they told me that if I don't braid dead the unit, or remove it from the outlet plug, then the unit will be typically working even though it is turned off. Another thing that I noticed is that sometimes when the AVR becomes triggered, the event is not recored (of course UPS and are turned on), while other events record normally (eg. self-test).
In the APC agent and console everything is working fine. Communications are established normally through USB and all is OK. Do you think that something is wrong with the unit. It was pretty expensive for me, and since it is a brand new unit, i don't want it to be faulty.
Thank you and merry Christmas!

Yes, I also believe that the behavior is normal. I was just curious for the operation of the unit. Once again thank you very much for your support and have a good new year!

We are sorry for the delay in responding to your question.
As far as I know, APC Smart UPS brain will not turn off when it is plugged in even though it is turned off. However, I have not heard this case before. How long has the UPS been behaving this way?
