Hi Bill and hope you are fine: this question is for you !!!!! Since my wife´s MacMini after it´s latest firmware update doesn´t like the threshold of our SMX1000 when switching from A/C to battery and turns off right away I bought a dual conversion SRT1500RMXLA to replace it and was expecting to hook to it the 3 SMX48RMBP2V external battery I had hooked to the older SMX1000 since this double conversion UPS has the same type off 48 Volt blue 4 pin conector and unfortunately this UPS doesn´t recognize them.
I was checking the recommended SRT48RMBP and believed you only designed it to use the same type of battery cartridge as the SRT1500 but it seems you also changed something on the external battery sensing logic.
Is there a way as to trick the SRT1500 to recognize the SMX external battery packs series ?
By the way which is the SRT1500RMXLA front bezel replacement part number ? The screen display is bigger so an SMX bezel doesn´t fit at all !!!

I swear this exact question was posed and answered by me this year?!? 🤔
Regardless, the SMX Series uses a simple resistor network to inform the system how many extended battery packs are present.
The SRT Series uses a combination of resistor and a IC to determine if an extended battery pack is present, serial firmware, temperature, battery health etc.
The SRT Front Bezel: 0M-77876
