I installed PowerChute1.2, during installation it automatically detected my UPS BR900G-RS.
I selected the option Shutdown Settings -> Power Outage Configuration -> After the UPS has been on battery for 1200 Seconds. And clicked the Apply button.
Will the UPS turn off load after 20 minutes of battery life if it is not connected to the computer?
I tried to test it and it didn't turn off.
PS. I read the following statement here: "The values stored on the UPS are Low Battery, OS Shutdown time, UPS turn on percent, High transfer voltage, Lower transfer voltage, Audible alarms, Perform Self-Test" [this post https://community.se.com/t5/APC-UPS-Data-Center-Enterprise/Powerchute-does-not-save-certain-values/t.... This statement does not apply to my UPS model BR900G-RS?

Yes, I'm already convinced of this. The shutdown timer only works when connected to a computer. First, it sends a shutdown signal to the operating system, and then after a while it turns off the load.
I see the solution in using Stick PC like T5 PRO Intel Z8350
P.S. Since the load is disconnected after the operating system is shut down, I don’t really understand why this function could not be saved without connecting the cable. This is simply a command that the UPS itself executes.

The computer running APC Power Chute software / 3rd party software must be connected to the UPS via the serial cable to initiate the graceful shutdown of the target system.
If the UPS isn’t connected to any computer it will simply run until the defined operational runtime has been reached than turn off.

If the target computer system isn’t connected to the UPS via serial connection.
How would it ever know to (Send Out) and begin a graceful shutdown of the operating system and hardware?!?
As it relates to a basic timer incorporated into the UPS outputs. I agree given it’s 2024 some basic logic, scheduling, and control should be available for use.
The reality is every UPS vendor is too cheap to incorporate a $5.00 part to do the same! 🤦♂️👎
