I have just replaced a batter in a UPS BE-850 it seems it came already charged. Do I still need to leave the UPS without anything connected for 24 hrs? Thank you!

Anytime the internal (RBC) Replacement Battery Cartridge is replaced the following steps and procedures must be followed to insure the best performance and operations.
Battery: The battery should be allowed to charge for at least 24 hours. The battery installation date must be updated via Power Chute (PCSS / PCPE) if available.
As doing so will reset internal counters and adjust charging tables if applicable.
Self Test: Manually initiate a self test and let pass. Allow the RBC to recover back to 100% SOC (State of Charge).
Calibration: Manually initiate a battery calibration via PCSS / PCPE. Ensure there is at least 30% attached load to the outputs. Once complete allow the RBC to recharge back to 100% SOC. Doing this procedure will insure the operational runtime is as accurate as possible in PCSS / PCPE.
NOTE: Mark down the battery installation date onto the RBC with a sharpie.
