Question with APC BACK-UPS ES 500VA 230V

I have bought my APC BACK-UPS ES 500VA 230V 2 months ago.,, the first month im using the ups is great but now im having problem w/ it

I need to use my PC around 6am after I plug the UPS and my additional extension to the outlet,
and after I turn on the UPS IT SIGNALS the "4 continuous beep every 30 seconds" it signs that the UPS is using battery power and is not plugged up in the socket
I'm trying to on and off it until it produces a snap sound indicating normal operation/ getting power from the socket

my question is why is the UPS signals that he using battery power and not/need to be plugged up to the utility socket while it is plugged up?
" the ulitity socket is working fine" A electric fan is also plugged up and running normaly

this is the exact UPS that im using at home

Hello Christian,

Whenever our BackUPS are turned on the unit performs a self-test first before going Online. Within this self-test period the UPS transfer to battery to test it after the self-test the unit should transfer back to Online. Do you need to unplug/replug the UPS multiple times to make it work? Let us check first if it lies with the self-test process.

I see from your profile that you are from the Philippines. Feel free to contact our Philippine Support Group at:

The battery wire is the one that might get loose. A lot of things can happen on the unit. You can also check the APC Knowledge Base articles I have provided below.
