I installed a new battery into a BE700G-UK and plugged it in to the mains for a while.
Then I turned on the "Power on". Got 4 short beeps, then some clicking noises, then 2 beeps, then some more clicking, then a single beep, then just various clicking noises, but no more beeping.
Haven't plugged anything into it yet, just in case.
Any idea if this is normal, or if I should be concerned about the clicking?

Hi Simon,
The unit will perform an Online Self test when first powered on. You should hear 4 short beeps as you've indicated along with some clicking. The clicking and beeps following that initial self test sound as if the unit may be transferring to battery for environmental causes. You should be able to adjust the the transfer thresholds in the PowerChute Personal Edition software. These thresholds will widen the range of operation for the UPS and hopefully stop it from trying to transfer all the time.
