Just bought this Back-UPS ES 700G UPS.
I bought it to use it in Africa where, I know, the electrical power is not that good. Big power fluctuations and 2-3 times a week a power cut.
I want to use it with my Synolgy server a DS 115 an adsl modem and a cordless telephone.
I charged the battery to its full capacity and then connected the server and an adsl modem to it.
When I came back from work the server had crashed and the UPS was beeping 4 times every 30 seconds. Until it started beeping continously.
I know my power is bad but there has not been a power cut the last 2 days.
Now my question is: Is this due to the line Voltage fluctuations?

Hi,
Beeping 4 time every 30 seconds indicates the unit is running on battery. Continues beeping means the battery is low. You should adjust the sensitivity to see if that will prevent the unit from switching to battery power while AC is available. Knowledge Base document FA166183 shows how to adjust the sensitivity. You should set you unit to low sensitivity.
