Hi,
The Back-UPS BN650M1 is compatible with PowerChute Personal Edition and that app does not include a e-mail feature. What software application are you setting up?

I setup powerchute business for 2012. I installed the agent and the powerchute server and the console.
Without the console will the software shut down the ups after a minute of power loss as I had configured?
i didnt know about a personal version

Hi,
PowerChute Business Edition is not compatible with that Back-UPS. We have not tested Windows 2012 with Personal Edition but I think it will work. Here is a link to the product web page.
http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/categories/power/uninterruptible-power-supply-ups-/ups-management/powe...
Other options are to set up Windows native power options (see Kbase FA159653) or run APCUPSD.
