How to stop XS1000 from beeping whenever HP laser printer prints

Whenever the laser printer starrts to print, the XS 1000 starts an alarm that is loud and annoying. How can this be disabled?  Tried holding down alarm button for 2 secs, but that did not work and tried holding down alarm button and screen buttons together and did not work.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

The reason the UPS is alarming is because the printer is overloading it. You should unplug the printer from the UPS. Plug it into a surge protector that is plugged into a wall outlet not the UPS or purchase a second UPS that can handle the wattage the printer pulls and utilize that.

That makes sense, I just didn't realize that was a possibility or the probability.
