I have a couple of these UPS units. One of them keeps beeping 4 times/30 seconds (with light off during beeps) even when AC power has been restored. What does this mean? I know this is the signal for battery operation. But it should stop, right? I have powered the unit off/on and still it does this. Driving me crazy.
Thanks!

I do not use the surge-only outlets. But I plugged in a phone charger and found no power in those outlets. I just realized that this unit has a circuit breaker on the rear. Normally, I don't think I have enough load on it to cause an overload. But sure enough, I checked and found the breaker needed to be pressed. So the unit was still running on battery to support the load I have there and it seems like it would not switch back to AC power until the breaker was reset.
So FYI to others out there.

David,
As you have found, the 4 beeps every 30 seconds does indicate on battery and checking the surge only outlets was a great way to test that. If the circuit breaker on the unit is tripped, the unit will operate on battery to provide power to battery backup outlets only.

Ok what if the breaker is NOT tripped and the unit is still beeping 4 times every 30 seconds?
