I have a rack mount unit in a data closet that is very difficult to reach. It is at a remote site, so there is a very good possibility that I will be talking some non-technical person through the process of changing to bypass over the phone. The switch seems to be integrated in the device, not part of a replaceable module.
Is there any way for me to extend this switch to a more convenient location in the front of the cabinet?
Thanks in advance for any insight you have for me.

This UPS has a logical bypass versus a mechanical bypass just as an FYI. For accessing the bypass on the UPS itself, you could consider a UPS Network Management Card for remote access to the UPS to command it in and out of bypass. Also an option is the ability to command it in and out of bypass using dry contacts with the AP9613. One of the AP9613 inputs allows you to command the unit in and out of bypass which you could also wire to a switch some place near the front of the closet.
If you had a wrap around service bypass panel, these are a separate module that allow you to mechanically bypass the UPS completely and have a big knob on the front.
