Boot PC after Power Down

Hi there,

i use a APC Back-UPS ES 700 with a ASUS Pundit P4 Barebone on the Battery Backup-Side.

When i shutdown Power the APC runs perfectly and shutdown the Windows XP on the ASUS Barebone. But when i Power On the ASUS dont boot up. If i dont use the APC the boot up works perfect when i power up the ASUS Barebone.

Why is the Power-Up-Function of the Barebone not working on the APC?

I would just like to clarify your test timeline, correct me if I am wrong:

Asus Barebone is turned ON, APC ES 700 is also ON and plugged into the wall.
APC ES 700 is unplugged from the wall.
APC ES 700 and software shut down Windows XP and Asus PC is turned off.
?? APC ES 700 turns itself off due to low batt ??
?? You plug the ES 700 back in and turn it on ??
?? Try to turn Asus Barebone back on and it does not turn on ??

Additionally, are you just hitting the power button on the Asus PC, or are you trying to remote start somehow? Are you trying to start the Asus PC automatically by using the APC ES 700 as a "power switch"?

Hi Erasmus,

thank you for your reply. Today i have solved the problem.
The APC must be complete empty. Then when power switch back to the APC the ASUS Barebone boots perfect.
