Last week i had a power cut in my house, i got around 15 minutes Backup from my APC Back-UPS RS 1100. After a couple of days i had another power cut in which all of d sudden my UPS starts Beeping like it has no backup and shutdowns immediately. Even this happened yesterday, it only lasts for 5 seconds there's no way for me to shutdown my PC.
My UPS is only connected with Monitor & CPU (PSU 550).
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
If the UPS is shutting down that quickly and the load is light the battery may need to be replaced. Have you run a self-test and does to pass? You can run a manual self-test by holding in the power on button for 10 seconds. You can also test the battery by removing the computer and monitor and plugging a lamp into the UPS. Remove AC power to the UPS and monitor to see how long the lamp stays lit.
Batteries are warrantied for 2 years so if the unit is less that 2 years old or the battery is less the 2 years old you should contact local technical support for assistance.
If the battery is greater then 2 years old and if fails during testing you can purchase a replacement at apc.com.
