According to the software this thing was way underloaded and worked well for about a year but now it'll cut off my computer and monitor and flash the overload light. The computer and monitor combined under load pulled only 134 watts so i can't understand why this thing is overloaded. Any ideas? Back-UPS XS 900 BX900R Thanks

We had 4 of these units and all 4 units went to overload alarm within two weeks of each outher. They were bought and put inservice on the same day. All of the units have had the same load on theme from the day they were installed.
Not that I know for sure but it sounds like there is a timer circuit on the main board the makes them fail after a period of time. It just look way to coincidental with 4 different units failing all within a week. I for one are seeking alternative to Schneider Group offerings

If you attempt a cold start, does it go immediately into overload?
To cold start:
1. Unplug UPS from wall (while it's off)
2. Disconnect attached load
3. Depress power button
4. Continue to hold power button and release during the second, longer beep
This will force the UPS on battery.

I tried that, ran it until it almost died, then plugged everything as usual and it the overload light comes on again. Ran fine on battery. Couldn't even leave it plugged in long enough to fully charge, even with nothing plugged into it.

If it's covered, I'd give tech support a call and get it replaced.
