I have two APC UPS units.
They are identical, purchased at the same time from the same vendor.
When I use PowerChute to see the status of these units, I get the following report.
Unit 1. 100% charged, providing 72 watts of power. Estimated Battery Time is 62 minutes.
Unit 2. 100% charged, providing 72 watts of power. Estimated Battery Time is 10 minutes.
It would appear that both of these units are drawing the same power, but one of them has a very short runtime. I have run the self-test and it doesn't tell me anything bad about the battery in unit 2.
What could cause this? Is there any fix? Unit 2 has proven to be unusable in power blackouts and brownouts.
thanks,
.pat styles

You can try putting the batteries of unit 1 into unit 2 and see if unit too working fine. If yes then the battery is possible reason. If its in warranty you can ask APC for free battery replacement otherwise buy new set of batteries.
Usually the supplied batteries will last maximum around 3 years and after that you should replace it in order to get normal backup times.
