BE500C UPS diagnosis

I have one of these units and it started a continuous beep the other day. Battery measured ZERO volts on a DVM. Replaced with a good battery but that only lasted two days? Did the same think went to 3 beep (low battery?) then four beeps followed by continuous beeping. Hmmm. Does anyone have a schematic or some test points I can measure? What is the most likely failure component in this unit ? The TL780-15C regulator? any help is appreciated.
