Hi.
I recently replaced my old UPS with an APC Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1000 (http://buy.apc.com/commerce/storefronts/tradeups/product.aspx?storefrontcode=apcetu&countrycode=US&t... ) on Friday. After a full weekend, I noticed its number said three events and my Windows 7 HPE was frozen at its login screen (no mouse and keyboard responses). Is there a way to figure out what these three numbers mean? I did not see any interesting errors in my updated 64-bit Windows 7 HPE (IE8).
Thank you in advance. ๐

Hi Ant,
The number of events that shows up on the LCD screen are the number of power disturbances that your UPS has detected. These disturbances can be any of the following: blackout, under/over voltage, total harmonic distortion, surge, spike, etc.
If you do have PowerChute Personal Edition installed and it is monitoring the UPS, this would give you more information on how many of these disturbances has been detected.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar and have not used APCUPSD since this is a third party application which I do not support. With regards to PCPE, you can download the latest PCPE 3.0 from our download site. Make sure that you choose SFPCPE30 from the download link here - [PowerChute Personal Edition v3.0|http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SFPCPE30&tab=Software]
Also here is the PCPE Compatibility Chart - [Click here|http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/JNOE-7GSAQJ_R8_EN.pdf]

Unfortunately the software would only record the events that it has detected after installation. With regards to your UPS, using the APC software I recommend that you check the current sensitivity settings and set it to a much more lower value. If the UPS is too sensitive, a slight change on the voltage or frequency can cause the UPS to switch to battery mode.
