APC Back-UPS RS 900VA charging issue?

Hi all,

Just saved one from the landfill. Bought a new battery, installed it and when I plug in the unit all four lights are blinking. If I press the power button it turns on and I have a green light.

Is this normal?

Thanks!

Based on the Description you may have a BR900 unit.

Typically the LED has its own meaning

Online  Green - Normal operation

On battery -  Yellow

Overload - Red

Replace battery - Red

I think what is happening is that the power button was held too long and the UPS goes on Programming mode or there is an internal UPS fault.

When plugged in When you hold the power button for 10 secs it will go on programming mode indicated by all the LED lighting up after a few seconds it will tell you its current  sensitivity setting

Make sure that when powering the unit on do not press it for more than 10 secs to avoid going to sensitivity settings

If after powering on the UPS all the LED lights keep flashing this means that there is a UPS internal fault

I pressed the power button quickly and it's not flashing any more. You are right, it's the sensitivity settings.
