vifp command missing for powerchute network shutdown

Hi, I am using Powerchute network shutdown 4.0 for Vmware appliance.  (I updated from 3.1 to 4.0 in the appliance).  However, I am trying to shutdown multiple standalone ESXi servers and the docs say to use command vifp add server however, I dont have the vifp binary on my appliance.  I searched the entire appliance and it just doesnt exist.  Can anyone advise?

VIFP is not used by PCNS 4.0. PCNS 4.0 and 4.1 uses JAVA and has the ability to work with multiple ESXi host through vCenter Server. When installing PCNS 4.0 or 4.1 you are asked if PCNS will communicate with vCenter Server or if the Host is standalone. If managed by vCenter Server you can add multiple ESXi Hosts. If standalone you are asked for Domain name or IPaddress of the single host to be shut down. You will need to add an Appliance for each host.

That is odd that they would remove functionality in the newer version.  With vifp you could shutdown multiple stand alone esxi hosts from a single appliance, but now I need to run an appliance on each host, that is disappointing.

However, I upgrade from 3.1 and it also did not have vifp and was java based.  What version still includes vifp?  Maybe I will just downgrade.

Hi,

Version 2.2.3, 2.2.4, 3.0, 3.0.1 utilize vifp. 

Note: PCNS version 2.2.3 does not support communication with NMC models AP9630, AP9631, AP9635
