hello,
I get a refunded smart UPS 1500 and i'm wondering how to check the internal electronics before buying new batteries. (the little tower one)
So far when i plug the power on it nothing happens.
i'd removed the batteries to test without and nothing happens.
when i plug it i can heard that power is arriving (the little "scritch" sound you usualy got on anything you plug) but there is no normal light or beep when i try to switch it on via button.
is there anything to test without the battery plugged to ensure electronic is working fine.
Any fuse to replace or stuff like that to reinit.
any advice is welcome ๐
thanks in advance.

The UPS front LEDs are used to find the UPS status. If the UPS circuitry is bad, then all the front lights will flash at a time. If the battery is bad, the Replace Battery LED(X) will come on.
However, you have stated that the UPS is not powering on when the unit is plugged in. I recommend you to check the following:
1. Check if the UPS input circuit breaker at the rear is not tripped.
2. Try charging the battery for at least 4 hours. The UPS can charge its battery whether it is on or off. Once the battery is charged, unplug the UPS from the wall. And then try cold starting it. In order to do this, press and hold the Power on/Test button until you hear two beeps from the unit. If the unit powers on battery, reconnect the UPS to the wall and check if it shows online LED.
If the above steps do not work, then the unit needs to be serviced. APC does not recommend our users to attempt to repair the UPS. It should be repaired by an authorized APC Service centers. Please contact the regional APC Customer Care Center to find an authorized centers in your place.
I hope that this helps.
