power up after ups drain

Hello people!

I have a Dell R300 server connected to a APC UPS and they communicate on serial cable. I use Ubuntu Server and the linux apc software. All goes well at power loss. I get an email notification on power loss and power up if the server don't shut down untill power restore, but if the ups drains, it sends a shutdown signal to my server. My problem is that after that shutdown when the power comes back again my server won't start. I have power on settings on my motherboard, withouth the ups when power comes back it autmatically starts. But if it's connected to the ups , it won;'t start when power comes back into ups. Do you see any solution to this problem?

Hi Bogdan,

May I know the Model number of the APC UPS? You can find it on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit. Does the UPS come back online automatically when power is restored? Could you please let me know the version of the Power Chute software which is being used?
