how to calculate battery pack with external Batterys in SUA3000XL

Hi

I have SUA3000XL Model Ups with 4 external Lead Acid  ( 100Ah Exide Make ) Battery's.

My issue with how to calculate battery pack to configure in ups ?

With Win 7 pro 32bit PC to my SUA3000UXI  via serial connection I get very frequent Communication Lost/Communication Established messages in the Event Logs. I cannot find any reason I should lose Communications, i test my cable in Hyper termenal mode also it work fine all command working fine and respond immd.

Why powerchute is not working with this Ups ?

This is not necessarily a simple answer. We need to narrow down if it is the computer serial port, UPS serial port, or something else like a service on the computer or even potentially a problem with the serial cable or interference of some type.

Here is what I would do and questions I'd ask:

• How frequent are notifications of this specifically?
• What version of PowerChute is this?
• Did this start recently?
• Can you try USB to see if any change?
• Is it possible to test on a different computer to see if any different?
• Can we reset the UPS communications and braindead it ?(remove any attached load to the UPS, turn it off, remove any serial cable, unplug it from AC power, hold down the (o) off button on the front and wait for an audible click/LEDs to flash on the front panel and the plug the UPS back into AC power, and reconnect the serial cable and re-attach your load and turn the UPS on).
