Good day,
Any answer is welcome:
2 units in question: 72-170300-10, GALAXY 3000, 30 kVA, 208V in and out, standard config, load over 50%.
In the event of a power failure, the UPS drops the load, randomly, sometimes UPS acts normally. Also when it drops the load, the display is frozen. We need to go on internal bypass, power off the logic and restart and when the tech recreates the power failure event, everything is normal, UPS kicks in, supports the load by the time the GEN picks up.
Any hints? units manufacture date is 2003 and 2001.
Thank you for the support.
Mihail

You should call into 3 phase support. If your equipment is not up to date with required Field Advisories and Field Modifications you could experience the exact issues you are having.

Hi,
Thank you for the answer. That' s what I also suspect. I know they ( MGE) had a problem with some voltage regulators on the power supply boards.
Here are the rev.s
unit 1, date code 2001-28: MIZR NT11, CHAR NT 11, GDER NT 10, POWER SUPPLY IS C00, P/N IS 72-171012-00 (here we have replaced them all, reporsonalize, re-calibrate, all good but the pwr pcd is old) load % is at 67
unit 2, date code 2003... : MIZR NT07, CHAR NT 08, GDER NT 06, POWER SUPPLY IS B00, P/N IS 72-171012-00.( original parts). load % is at 85
Onestly, I do not think logic boards could cause trouble, unless they loose power. I know that for the power supply, they have change the P/N, now is 72-171012-02. 😉
Unfortunatelly, I am missing some FAs regarding corrective actions for G3k :((.
I do not see anything else.
See you.
Mihail
