We have a Smart UPS 3000 RT with a AP9617 network card configured. I have been receiving the test emails successfully.
We are using Powerchute Business Edition Basic 7.0.4.
2 servers are Server 2000, 3 are 2003.
I have installed the agent on 5 servers and rebooted the servers the service is also started on these machines.
The console on the Powerchute server however cannot add the 5 servers onto the device list. I keep getting: "failed to apply the configuration profile to SERVER.DOMAIN.COM"
The server has found these servers have the agent installed but will not add the configuration to them.
It is connected using the network cable nd I can get onto the UPS from a web gui and by telnet.
From the powerchute server i can connect to the http://SERVER:3052/ addresses but it says that "Device communication: Not Established"
Am I missing something blindingly obvious?

If you are using the Network Management Card within the UPS, PowerChute Business is not the software you will use. PowerChute Network Shutdown is the correct software. Uninstall PCBE and download PCNS from the following link:
http://www.apc.com/tools/download
Business Edition will have issues with a UPS using a Network Management Card. The Network Card will be used to monitor the UPS direct, and PCNS will provide the graceful shutdown support over IP.
Thanks.
