AP98274 with IBM AS/400

I got a question.AP9607 is installed in SU3000 .I have two servers:one is IBM AS/400 I520,the other one is not i5 series .I connected i520 to Ap9607 using AP98274,the other server to AP9607 using 940-0031A.After configuring shutdown time on both of AS/400 servers,Swtich UPS to battery, nothing happens on i520,however the other server works fine.It appears that either Ap98274 or port of i520 has some issue. Can you help on this?

Aside from AP9607 and AP98274 to connect with AS400 IBM server, is there any other solutions without these two devices. Such as using IBM 39J5836 cable?

Yes.I did read that document to configure both AS/400 servers.I also swap ports for two servers. That does not correct the problem.Basically,AS/400 has more than one port.I try to connect other port, same outcome.

Can you verify communication between the UPS and the AS400? Possibly swap ports on the interface expander. Is your IBM server configured and saving its configuration?

Hey,

It has been long time. If I recall, AS/400 I5 control panel initializtion (unplug power and re-plug power) did get this issue resolved.

Please note this a trick: shutdown the AS/400 I5 server and connect AP98274 to the As/400 I5 and AP9607 port , Next, you'd better unplug power of the AS/400 and re-plug it to do Control Panel Initializtion. If you don't unplug and replug the power of the server , you may have trouble on the communication between AP9607 and the server.
