can't access UPS via the web
Ok so last week i could access my SmartUPS 3000 interface via the web. Today it won't work. I get activity lights on the NIC and the port on the switch it is hooked into. I am wondering if that NIC was given a different address than i think it was. Is there a way to hook the serial port device and access the NIC to check the IP address? Thanks.

i think its best to also confirm to us what model network management card you have which is written on the faceplate of the actual network interface card. then we can make sure the information kulot provided would work for your UPS because different UPS/different NMC may require different cabling and instructions.

Hi Kirk, What is the part# of your NMC? If it's an NMC1 (AP9617/18/19)
- Use the 940-0024 or 940-1524 (DB9 to DB9) to connect to the UPS serial port
- After connecting the correct cable, start the terminal emulation program of your choice. Configure port settings 2400 bps, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control.
- Apply the port settings to establish the connection. Press
3-5 times to display the username prompt. - Choose "Network"
- Choose "TCP/IP" to view the current TCP/IP settings of the card
