I can connect to the card via a serial port with hyperterm.
See below the mac address is all zeros.
Does the A- mean there is an error with one of the bin files?

Hi,
"A-" in the stat section refers to the application file - the firmware file that tells the NMC what type of unit it is installed in - has failed to load for some reason. If the application does not load, you would still be able to connect to the NMC via telnet/FTP, and still be able to pull up a webpage from the IP address, but no information would be present. If this occurs, rebooting the card will cause the application to attempt to reload. If the issue is still not resolved, it may be necessary to reflash the firmware of the device.
See Knowledge Base document FA156047 for assistance with flashing the firmware.
You should upgrade to firmware 6.4 when flashing the firmware to get the card up to the latest version.

Since the MAC address is all 00 00 00 00 00 00, the NMC needs to be replaced and fixing the firmware won't help with that problem. The user cannot re-program the MAC as this is done in the factory. In addition, all of the factory information appears to be missing - model number, serial number, etc.
The card looks to be kind of old. Did you just purchase it from some place new or is it used? Does it have a sticker on it physically with a model, serial number, and MAC? The manufacturing date itself seems earlier than when the product was released so I am curious as to the history on the card and where it came from.

Angela,
There are stickers on the bottom of the card here is the info. It is a used card. Took several attempts to reset the card/password.

Hi John,
It seems at some point the card itself has lost its programming including MAC, model, serial number, etc. The missing MAC will prevent this NMC from working properly on a network while the other things being missing you could probably get away with. Unfortunately, this NMC needs to be replaced and I'd put it aside and pursue getting another one on your end.

Hi John,
What method did you upgrade it by? I don't see how the card will work properly on a network or retain TCP/IP settings with no MAC programmed in, even after upgrading.
