My company is replacing an old APC SU1400RMBX135. It looks like it's using a special twist locking type plug. What is it called? We only have one of that kind wall outlets to plug in so we need to know before ordering a new one. Thanks.

Hello:
The X135 at the end of this part number indicates that this is a special unit; offhand I don't recall which specific features this one comes with, but I can find out for you tomorrow morning. The typical version, the SU1400RM2U, does have a standard NEMA 5-15 plug on it (a regular plug like you'd see in a home). If you were to replace this unit with a new one of similar capacity, like the SUA1500RM2U, it would come with a NEMA 5-15 as well.
Thanks.

If my memory serves me correctly, since this is a 1400VA ups, it should be using the standard NEMA 5-15P input cord, unless it was previously changed. However, it's also possible that local electrical code required it to be a twistlock, in which case it could be a NEMA L5-15P, which is very scarce in the 120V UPS world.
