Our client has an APC SMART UPS 1500 RM located at a remote site,
It's showing an incorrect runtime (3 mins), Load is only 28% and the batteries are at full capacity.
The UPS drops power straight away instead of switching to battery.
UPS has also failed a sef-test.
No beeps or error LEDS on.
Could someone please help me identify whether the issue is due to a faulty battery or something else, or any additional troubleshooting steps.
Any hewlp would be much appreciated
Thanks

I've asked for someone to go have another look at UPS LEDs and have also requested the logs.
Will post them up as soon as I receive them.
Cheers

Anuj,
I would like to gather some more information from you in order to provide you assistance. How old Is the battery in the unit? Could you please let us know the exact Model and Serial number of the UPS? You can find these details on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit. What lights are on the front of the UPS when it is plugged in? If the unit failed the self test, the Replace Battery LED will come on. Is the Replace Battery LED lit in the front of the UPS?

Anuj,
Where did you get the Failed Self-Test message? Is there a network management card installed on your UPS or do you have the APC PowerChute Business Edition installed on one of your computers? Normally, the message is also accompanied by an LED on your UPS. If a UPS fails a self-test the Replace Battery LED will be lit up solid red, a UPS fails a self-test if it has detected that there is something wrong with the battery connected on it.
It would be helpful if you could get somebody on-site to check the unit.

Thanks for that,
I was surprised as well when the site contact said that no error LEDs were on, and yes it does have a network management card installed.
I will try and get someone else to have a look at the physical unit and check for the LEDs.

Anuj,
Could you also post the event and data logs which were recorded by the NMC before and after Power Failure?
