Using Smart UPs to shutdown NAS
Hi,
I have purchased the SMT750RMI2U in the hope of protecting my NAS during a loss of power and performing a graceful shutdown.
I have an Asustor 604T and a Netgear GS724TP for my home network setup and have connected them to the Groups 1 outlets. The Asustor supports UPS but it requires a server address for the UPS. I am beginning to think I have bought the wrong parts for what I want to do, or maybe I could get the network card for the UPS and connect it to the switch and get it to work this way.
I am just after some help on how to setup the equipment or at least a yes or no to the question of, "is this possible?".
