Does anyone know of any negative impacts with continuing to operate the UPS that has the AVR Trim light on? I know it's compensating for high utility voltage which in my case the UPS is registering at 249V. The specs of the SUA5000RMT5U:
My voltage is still within range for main operations. However, I'm wondering if there are any adverse effects with continuing operations with a high voltage input. What are the risks (low or high)? This is on a residential circuit so 208V is not typically available unless I hire an electrician for a new circuit.

The UPS uses an autotransformer to adjust high line voltage downward, and I believe it's rated to do so continuously if need be.
Possible risks that I can think of include the line voltage going up further, exceeding the unit and your load's safe operating area or the UPS switching to batteries and ultimately shutting down when the batteries run out.
If at all possible, you should consider contacting your electrical utility and asking them to adjust the transformer serving your area. Other electrical devices at your location are being placed under stress by the high line voltage condition and this will shorten their lifetime.
