Use "PowerChute Network Shutdown" with "APEC SUA1500RMI 2U" UPS ?

Hi,

I have to a clustor of servers with VMware vSphere Entreprise. The HA (High Availability) mode is activated.

I have two UPS "APEC SUA1500RMI 2U" and I'd like that in case of power failure the UPS are able request to vCenter to properly shutdown all the VM.

According to the APC site, I think that I need to buy:

- one "UPS Network Management Card 2 (AP9630)" by UPS

- one "PowerChute Network Shutdown" licence

("PowerChute Business Edition" seems to be uncompatible with VMware HA mode)

But, I'd like to know if the "APEC SUA1500RMI 2U" are compatible with "PowerChute Network Shutdown". Can someone help me?

Hello,

I can at least say that your UPS model will work with AP9630 or AP9631 Network Management Card 2 and those cards work with PowerChute Network Shutdown. You may just want to verify that your version is compatible with PowerChute Network Shutdown v3.1 which is the current version.
