Hello!
I am new here and need your help.
I have a HP Proliant ML350 G6 wirh ESXi 5.5 and vCenter Appliance 5.5 with vMA 5.5.
On this vMA i run PCNS 3.1.
The Problem is that i in the ESXi Logfile i is full with Logs from the vMA (PCNS)! I have logins and logouts with the root user every 5 minutes! So i can't se other Problems, because i have so many logins/logouts from PCNS ..
Here is a small Screenshot from the Log:
For testing i've changed the IP on the PCNS WebSite to a another IP, from there the PCNS cannot connect to the ESXi and now i have no entrys in the ESXi Log!
So the Problem is definitely the PCNS 3.1 - With the older version 3.0.1 (that runs before i've updated my ESXi and vCenter from 5.1 to 5.5) there were never problems.
Has someone any idea what can i do?
I don't wont the use the previously version 3.0.1,excepteditcan not be avoided..
Works PCNS 3.0.1 with ESXi 5.5 und vMa 5.5? knows thatsomeone?
Please help me! - I have noidea
Sry for my bad english, i am a German user and Google Translator helps me here
Best Regards
Mark

tanks for the answer.
is there a way to change this time? e.g to 2 hours or higher?
so that the Logfile will not be flooded?
or can i get back to version 3.0.1? - works this with esxi 5.5/vcenter 5.5 and vma 5.5?

Hi,
This is expected behavior. Under normal operations PCNS will attempt to log in and log out of vCenter every 5 minutes to check that the vCenter server is still accessible over the network/using the PCNS credentials.
We have had other users ask about this and there will be a change to the process in a future release.
