I have 2 servers which have an old version of Power Chute Business Edition Agent, Console & Sever installed. They are old servers so the software will be a number of years old as well.
I want to uninstall this so I can install PCNS.
Is it just a case of uninstalling through Add & Remove programs in Windows?
Thanks

Robin,
You may try uninstalling the Agent through manual un-installation instruction. Did you contact the regional Customer Care Center for the manual un-installation instructions?

I decided to leave this server as it is. Its only a few steps away from being decomissioned and it will give me a lot of hassle.
Thanks

Yes, you should be able to uninstall via the Windows Control Panel. If for some reason this fails, you can call into our tech support team and they can guide you through a manual uninstall using the Windows registry and manual deletion of files.

Will this require a reboot?

More recent versions of PowerChute BE do not require a reboot during/after the uninstall process...I honestly don't know about the versions from "years" ago, although all they should have to do other than remove the program files is restart your Windows native UPS service, which does not require any kind of reboot.

This has worked fine one server.
However on another one (an old exchange server, which is nearly decomissioned) it removed the console & server fine, but doesnt do anything when i try and remove the agent.
I had problems in the past with this server and the APC software. If the Agent service was running it would take half an hour or so to give you a logon screen. I think this was down to an old version of the java which was causing this issue. There was a KB on your site about it.
How do we remove this?
Thanks
