I have a Smart UPS 1500 running the PowerChute Business Edition 8.0.1.609.
Today we had a planned power outage. Our server room had a total electrical outgage for 17 secounds until our emergency generator kicked in.
What surprised me was our UPS started a "shutdown process" right away after the main power went down. When I came back from lunch, I noticed the servers and UPS were off.
I am guessing it was too much load for the UPS to handle even though the load is 58% and 19 minutes remaning?
How do I disable the shutdown sequence? I don't think we need to worry with the shutdown sequence since we have emergency generators.
Below is the event log:

Tony,
Are you still facing the same issue? If you are still facing the same issue, let me collect some more information from you to find out if the issue lies with the software or hardware.
What was the UPS runtime and battery charge capacity according to the data logs when you received the Insufficient run time alert? Could you please post the entire data and event logs which was recorded when this occurred?

No, I haven't had any problems since that problem on June 11.
I've had 3 power failure since then:
1. June 26, I had 2x power failures that lasted 2 seconds - no problems and no shutdown.
2. July 17, I did a test and pulled the plug for 1 minute - no problems and no shutdown.
I think I might've reduced the "Runtime Remaining Threshold" down to 10 minutes after that June 11 problem. I think originally I had it on 20 minutes or more.
I have no idea why I had 'insufficient runtime available' in the log. The battery is only a couple months old.
Below is my event log
Attached is myData Log
Thanks
Tony

As far as I know, the cause of insufficient runtime would be if the load which is plugged into the UPS is too large to run the battery long enough to allow for shutdown of the operating system. You may need to reduce the load or, if possible, reduce the amount of time it takes to shutdown the operating system. The latter would only be possible if you configured a shutdown delay.

You should be able to go into Events -> Actions on your PCBE web agent and check any event rows that have the "Shutdown" field marked / bubbled. Then you can click on the link for that event and disable the shutdown sequence starting for that event.
On a side note, can you provide the information on your "Protected System" -> Shutdown Settings menu, as well as any existing settings you did have for an event with a shutdown sequence? You may have had a bad setting configured on the software.

Thanks for your reply. I double checked my Event Actions and there is nothing enabled under the Shutdown and Command File coloumns. All blank.
I am thinking I should uninstall PCBE and go to the older PCBE version that the UPS came with...
Here is the configuration of my Protected System Shutdown Sequence Summary :
Time Required For Shutdown Sequence 10 Minutes
Low Battery Signal 300 Seconds
Command File Enabled No
OS Shutdown Delay 3 Minutes
OS Shutdown Type Shutdown
Enable OS Reboot Yes
UPS Turn On Battery Capacity 15 %
UPS Turn On Delay 0 Minutes
Enable SMTP E-mail Yes
Enable Notification Yes
Enable Logging Yes
