UXBP48 and a SUA2200XL

I had a SU2200XLNET with a UXBP48 battery pack and the SU2200XLNET died. I have a new SUA2200XL that I was putting in it's place but I noticed that the UXBP48 battery pack plug is different than on the SUA2200XL. Is there an adapter to make this conversion? Thanks!

Did you successfully make that conversion cable? It should have worked no problem. A friend was looking around and ended up making them himself. The only reason the connectors are different is for APC to stop user for having compatible hardware across different generations.

The plugs are both blue but the physical size is different. The photo you sent looks like it matches my problems. I have the smaller plug on the top in the picture and I need the bigger plug on bottom in the picture. Thanks!

I think I could make my own adapter. Does anyone see any problems in me doing this, or an incompatibility in technical battery specs or charging specs on hooking up the UXBP48 battery pack to the SUA2200XL?

Do you see anything wrong with me buying the 4ft extension cable for both the SU039 and the SUA039. Then cutting it in half and splicing/soldering one of both ends together. Thus giving me a cable with the SU039 connector on one end and the SUA039 connector on the other end. Therefore I could connect one end of my homemade adapter to the SU039 battery pack and the other end, the SUA039, to the SUA2200XL.

Thanks for the help!!!

alright well...

the official response here as an APC employee is to advise against any type of product modification to avoid any shock hazards, void any warranties or EPP claims, etc so again, i would advise against doing this officially.

unofficially, if you understand and accept these risks, and still want to proceed with doing this, you'd want to get a new anderson connector to replace the one on end rather than attempt to splice the two cables together. you wouldnt want an additional connection in the loop at the splice point.
