UPS's shutting down when power loss, and not returning on

I have a customer that has told me that at least 2 of his UPS's that were on battery due to power outage, ran down the battery and shut off. Now, when they do shut off, aren't they suppose to come back on when the batteries charge to a certain percentage? Is there something they have to do with the powerchute software? That's what I am assuming. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread, but I have the exact same issue. I run a smart 6000 RT with the network management card, and we had some issues with power failures, I configured the minimum battery capacity to 50% and the time delay to 120. I assumed this would turn back on 120 secs. after the 50% was reached. However the UPS needed manual intervention which is not what I was looking for. Does a combination of both negate each other? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi martin, it should work as described. there could be a few other issues with configuration though.

can you post the config.ini (remove any personal data if you want), data.txt and event.txt here so we can review? also please note any applicable times in the logs we can look at for behavior you described.
