UPS Switches off after self-test

We have an APC Smart-UPS 3000 and over the weekend it has switched itself off & shows no signs of coming back to life.

The symptoms are that when you run the self-test, the battery indicator goes to full and the green online indicator flashes for a second, the battery in use indicator (orange) lights for a moment, then one or more of the battery fault, over voltage, under voltage lights flashes on very quickly and it switches itself off completely with a clunk.

I have tried re-setting the UPS by disconnecting all load and mains power and holding the off button until it clicks ... the UPS continues to misbehave.

After removal of the battery pack, I have found that each of the batteries is individually showing a voltage output (not under load) of between 13.47 & 13.52 Volts.

What is the model and serial # of this UPS? You should this info on a white sticker on the back of the UPS. So the UPS is not turning on at all? Any leds, beeps, noise when pressing the power button?

No beeps to speak of, when you first press the test button there is a chirp-chirp, then the sound of the relays cutting in & the coils in the transformers energising, then it switches itself off with no lights at all visible, however there is a slight 50Hz hum coming from the unit.
