We have a rack-mounted UPS, model number SURTD3000XLT.
We receive the following alarms, as viewed from the browser:
Inverter Fault
In Bypass: Hardware Fault
Viewing the Logs tab shows the following events:
UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault
UPS: An inverter fault exists
The event.txt file shows the following:
UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault. 0x011B
UPS: An inverter fault exists. 0x0165
The debug.txt file does not show any concurrent events.
The data.txt file (attached) shows the following readings that appear inconsistent with previous times:
Tups T1ambF
100.00 215.65
100.00 215.46
100.00 216.06
100.00 216.37
100.00 216.34
100.00 215.40
100.00 216.18
100.00 216.37
100.00 216.12
100.00 216.37
The usual reading for Tups is about 68.
The usual reading for T1ambF is about 200
The front panel indicator LEDs are as follows:
Bypass LED is amber
Fault LED is red
When I press the test button the alarms clear but eventually return.
.
Additionally, the battery bled down to about 53% but is back up to 100% since the last test.
Two questions:
What do the column headers stand for, especially Tups & T1ambF?
Do I need to replace the UPS?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, thank you.
So that battery bar graph pattern you did show me, when did you see that? And I have to think that is exactly how it shows, top to bottom? Because you're right, that is not a pattern but typically the capacity goes from bottom to top. So, if it was showing battery capacity only and not a fault code, I'd expect:
0
0
1
1
1
Based on the event log and your serial number, I think the problem is likely with the UPS. I believe your unit would still be under factory warranty and be covered under that for a replacement if you contact technical support via phone or email with these log files and that serial number you gave to me.

I think your data column headings are messed up or not aligned properly when viewing in the text file. 100% refers to battery capacity and to the right of that, 218 is likely the battery voltage which is normal.
TupsC or F is the internal temperature of the UPS and T1ambF refers to the ambient temperature probe #1 attached your Network Management card.
What I did is opened your data log in Notepad, put the cursor to the left of "Time" and tab it over to the right once. Or, use Excel to open it and it should align it properly.
I really need to see both the full event.txt and data.txt together but from what I can tell, the UPS is in bypass most recently and the battery charge and voltage is dropping.
It sounds like it is likely a UPS fault, but I'd want to know the serial number of the UPS if you have it and how old it is (which I can tell by the UPS serial number) because sometimes, faults can be due to faulty batteries but are not reported 100% clearly unfortunately.
Lastly, when the fault LED is illuminated along with bypass, does the battery bar graph (on the far right hand side that typically shows charge) display a particular pattern? This can tell us what the fault is directly from the UPS versus how the Network Management Interface is interpreting it.
It'd be something like
1
0
0
1
0
Where 1 means the LED is on and the 0 is LED is off.
