UPS Network Management Card 2 - mail notifications delayed

Hi,

I have Smart-UPS SRT 10000 with network management card, as follow:

- Model: AP9537SUM

- Firmware: v6.0.7

It happens a strange problem with email notifications: every time an event that raise notifications happens, I receive a notification about 2 events before. I tried to reboot the management card, but nothing changed.

Is there a way to fix it? Where can I find firmware upgrades for the network card? (on website I just foud firmware for AP9630/9631 models).

I am not sure I quite understand the issue you are experiencing, could you further clarify?

As far as firmware upgrades, you will want to download the SFSUMX621 firmware for AP9631/30 found on this page: http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=AP9631&tab=software

The AP9537SUM is just a built in version of these cards and uses the same firmware.

This issue and bug I logged is still currently under investigation and actively being looked at as part of the current AOS version that is being developed. If you do not see a change in the latest public version of firmware v6.2.1 (since I am not sure what causes it yet for different users), which I doubt that you will, please get me the .tar file (as described here -> http://www.schneider-electric.us/support/index?page=content&country=US〈=en&locale=en_US&id=FA156131 ) so that I can add your information to the bug report. Just for our purposes too, it'd be helpful to understand how many units you are seeing this on so I can paint a full picture of how it negatively impacts your environment with the delay in notifications.

I ask you one more thing: does the firmware upgrade impact the functionality of the UPS, or the configuration of the Network Card? Can I perform it remotely without impacting the activity and being able to reach the maangement card again after upgrade?

Hi,

The network card firmware upgrade will not affect the UPS or change the setting and you can upgrade the firmware remotely.
