Hi Everyone,
I would like to upgrade the Firmware on my UPS3000RMXL2 and I would appreciate it if someone where to answer the following questions?
1) Can I upgrade the firmware during operation (no impact to the business)?
2) What is the difference between PowerMIB and the AOS firmware files?
Thank you,
D

Hello,
1) Upgrading the Network Management Card firmware will not interupt the actual UPS production. Only serious faults on the UPS during the upgrade could potentially cause downtime.
2) The PowerNet MIB is a Management Information Base for SNMP communication. Uploading the MIB to 3rd party applications, like Getif, will allow that application to give an exact name and description to OIDs of our networked equipment managed via SNMP. The AOS firmware files are just uploadable firmware files to our Network Management Cards that upgrade the GUI and networking capabilities of our Network Cards. The second part to the AOS layer, is the Application layer, which tells the Network Card which exact product the card is speaking with.
SmartUPS firmware for our AP9617/8/9 Network Management Cards can be found through the following link:
