We are using the APC SMX3000RMHV2UNC UPS, and now the UPS is warning that a factory reset is needed. Please provide me with instructions on how to handle this.

This error message normally indicates a fatal fault in the system and is rarely fixed in the field by the end user. ☹️
Regardless, you may factory reset or initiate the start up wizard following the user guide provided here:

Can’t see your image so reload it using a different format. Regardless, this message appears on the front of the UPS LCD or NMC?!?
What is the background of this issue happening?!? Was the system firmware being upgraded?

I removed an external battery rack from this UPS, I only use the internal battery, the UPS cannot start, the UPS warns on the NMC card that it must be factory reset, the front LCD screen shows an int comn fault error as shown in the picture. Please give me the documents to factory reset this UPS, thank you.
