Hi,
i have an UPS connected with my esxi host with the nmc2. Running 3 vm's on it.
I did a test and the ups went off after 25 min. But some of the vm's werent shutdown correctly.
I checked the powerchute settings, I can't figure out in the settings what I need.
I want it to run 10 minutes and then the virtual machines start shutting down one by one. If I get power within 10 minutes, all is good and nothing should happen with the vm's.
Regards

Hi,
To configure PowerChute Network Shutdown to shutdown the OS after UPS has run on battery for 10 minutes open the PowerChute web page and go to Configure Events and select UPS on Battery - Shutdown. Click Enable Shutdown and enter 600 second delay. Then click apply. After the UPS has been running on battery for 10 minutes the host will be commanded down.
When PowerChute is configured with a single ESXi host PowerChute sends a shutdown signal to the host. The host is responsible for shutting down the VMs. Please review Schneider electric FAQ http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA159688
