Symmetra vs Symmetra LX - compatible modules ?
OK, so we have an installed LX which is down to it's last power module, and by chance I got offered another Symmetra really cheap as someone I know was closing down due to bad health.
Now firstly, I'm confused as to which is the older unit - I assume the Symmetra we've just bought, with "plastic" battery packs (SYBATT) and plastic rails on the bottom of the PMs (SYPM), rather than the LX we have installed with metal battery packs (SYBT5) and no plastic runners on the bottom of the power modules (SYPM4KI). I don't really care as the one we've just got has enough PMs to do us with +1 redundancy.
But we have a battery expansion cab (Xr frame) on the LX. The batteries seem to be the same voltage, and the replacement Symmetra has a comms card in the back for talking to an XR frame. Does anyone know if the two systems are compatible for that ?
Also, while the PMs are different, they aren't that different. The LX module is slightly longer overall, but slightly shorter at the back where the air vent is, but the connectors appear to be identical. Well I suppose the worst that can happen is it goes bang if I try it

Hello,
Symmetra Power Array (the beige one) has been discontinued for about 10 years now which is when Symmetra LX was introduced. The LX is still current. There are no modules that are compatible between them.
